Live as broken down lorry causing delays on busy stretch of A17
A broken-down lorry is causing major delays on a busy stretch of road in Lincolnshire. The lorry broke down on the A17 near Swineshead and there is heavily-congested traffic[1] due to the lorry blocking the road.
Traffic monitoring system Inrix reports that the A17 at East Heckington[2] currently has queueing traffic due to the lorry and the road is partially blocked where it broke down. It also said it is affecting the A1121 in both directions.
One eyewitness on Facebook[3] has described the traffic as being “at a standstill.” Google Maps is showing heavily-congested traffic on the A17 from the Park Lane turn-off up to the B1394.
