LIVE: Huge delays on M62 and M60 following lorry crash – updates

One person treated by paramedics

Firefighters are still in attendance on the M62, while one person has been checked over by paramedics.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said:

“Just before 11am this morning (Tuesday, April 11), one fire engine from Stretford fire station was called to reports of a road traffic collision involving two lorries on the M62 near junction 11 and 12. The crew arrived quickly at scene.

“Firefighters used dammit paste, a pop-up pool, a foam jet and a hose reel to make the vehicles and area safe. One person is in the care of colleagues from North West Ambulance Service.

“Firefighters have been in attendance for around an hour and twenty minutes and are still at the scene.”
