Cumbria Logistics has added a pair of Renault D280 4×2 rigids[1] to its 40-strong mixed fleet.

The 18-tonners, which were supplied by Border Trucks, will be joined by a third example later this year.

The trucks have been specified with day cabs and feature curtain-sided bodies by Fosters Commercials. Optional extras include adjustable roof deflectors, side deflectors, air-suspended heated Comfort driver’s seats with lumbar support, leather steering wheels, steel bumpers and fuel tanks and rear air suspension.

Cumbria Logistics specialises in the movement of palletised freight and packaged hazardous goods, and is a member of Hazchem, The Pallet Network and Pall-Ex. It also works for independent networks Clarkes, Freightroute and XPO, and the new trucks will be double-shifted, trunking at night and working in the local area by day.

The Longtown-based haulier also runs five Renault T tractors[2], consisting on two T520 Highs, two T480s and a T520.
