Lorry driver fined for Kincardine Bridge ‘road rage’ incident
David McKay, 33, of Croall Place, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on March 14 last year on the A985 southwards at the Kincardine Bridge, he shouted, swore and placed his head against another man’s head.
The incident followed a collision between the lorry being driven by McKay and a car.
Defence solicitor Callum Harris said: “He was doing odd jobs, casual employment at that time.”
He added that McKay is currently unemployed but has been offered a job as a mechanic.
Sheriff Grant McCulloch told McKay: “I suppose the term ‘road rage’ comes to mind.
“This ended up with you and the other driver having a discussion, you putting your head against his head then when he walks away you follow him.
“It’s not on, especially when you were working at the time doing your employer’s business.”
Sheriff McCulloch imposed a fine of £320.
