A lorry was left hanging over a bridge on the M1 in an Italian Job-style predicament after an early hours motorway crash.
Rescue teams were called to the M1 at junction 19, the Catthorpe Interchange, early this morning after the HGV crashed on the southbound carriageway.
Pictures taken by Northants Road Policing Team show the back wheels of the 10 tonne truck balancing precariously off a bridge above the motorway.
Police said the driver manage to safely exit the vehicle and was not injured.

Crews responded to the Catthorpe Interchange at 4.37am after receiving reports of a collision involving a lorry. Police closed part of the southbound carriageway and both sides of the A14 while emergency services responded at the scene

Drivers were instructed to take alternative routes and avoid the area while authorities worked to remove the vehicle and safely reopen the roads.
It is unclear if the truck has yet been removed or if the incident has caused any tailbacks.
Leicestershire Police told MailOnline this afternoon that they have already left the scene. National Highways has been approached for comment.
