National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) regional spokesperson, Natasha Ramkisson-Kara, said Zulu is charged with reckless and negligent driving, and failure to comply with the duties of a driver following an accident.
“These charges relate to the multi-vehicle accident that occurred earlier this month on the M41 highway near uMhlanga. The court imposed several bail conditions, including that he must live at his Matubatuba residence; not have contact with his employer; report three times a week to the Matubatuba police station, and inform the investigating officer if he needs to leave the Matubatuba district,” she said.
Ramkisson-Kara added that Zulu’s Public Drivers Permit (PDP) is suspended following the finalisation of the matter.
His case has been postponed until June 8 for further investigations.
