M5 traffic live: Closure after lorry crash in Gloucestershire

A stretch of the M5 has been closed after a lorry crash. The motorway was shut between junction nine for Tewkesbury and junction 11 for Gloucester and Cheltenham at around 2.15am.

By 4.55am, it remained shut for recovery work with National Highways saying it should be reopen during the morning rush-hour at around 8am.

Traffic and travel service Inrix said: “M5 Southbound closed due to recovery work from J9 A46 (Tewkesbury) to J11 A40 (Gloucester / Golden Valley Bypass). The road has been shut since the early hours after a lorry crash.”
