Motorists are experiencing delays on the M6 today after a lorry crashed into a car and caught fire. Traffic was held between J12 for Cannock[1] and J13 for Stafford[2] in both directions.
The southbound stretch has since been released but northbound will remain closed for a “complex recovery.” Emergency services were called to scene including the Midland Air Ambulance.
A spokesperson for National Highways said: “Traffic has now been released on the #M6 southbound between J13 and J12 (#Cannock). Northbound will remain closed for complex recovery. Traffic caught within the closure will be turned around from the back of the queue.”
