The Westbound carriageway of the M62 between junctions 12-11 will remain closed overnight as clearing up work continues on the motorway

The carriageway has been severely damaged by diesel. The lanes are not safe to use and will remain closed overnight to resurface all of the damaged lanes.

The smash that occurred between two lorries this lunchtime between J12 for Eccles and J11 for Birchwood saw tailbacks for over 3 miles and delays of up to an hour
