Man and woman assaulted by group in early-morning attack

Two people suffered facial injuries after they were reportedly attacked in Stafford.[1] The man and woman were approached by a group of six outside Staffordshire Place, police have said.

The group of men and women then ‘attacked the victims’ just before 3am on Sunday, April 2. The victims, who are in their 30s, required treatment from West Midlands Ambulance Service for facial injuries.

They were both taken to hospital for further treatment. Cops are now trawling through CCTV as they investigate what happened. Anyone with information has been asked to contact Staffordshire Police[2] as soon as possible.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for information after a man and a woman sustained facial injuries following an assault in Stafford. We were called to Staffordshire Place just before 3am on Sunday (2 April).

“Our colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service[4] also attended. A man and a woman, both in their 30s, were approached by six unknown men and women.

“Both victims were then assaulted and sustained facial injuries. Both were taken to hospital for treatment.”
