Man dies after fatal house fire in Spalding
A 56-year-old man has died after a house fire at a Lincolnshire home. Lincolnshire Police attended Spring Gardens in Spalding[1] at around 3.20am on Tuesday, April 11 after it received reports of a fire.
The man’s family have been made aware that he has died, Lincolnshire Police[2] said. A joint investigation has now been launched alongside Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue[3] to determine the cause of the fire.
Assistant Chief Fire Officer, Ryan Stacey said: “We’re very much saddened by this fatality and our thoughts are with family and friends at this difficult time. Two crews from Spalding and a crew from Crowland attended this incident and along with police colleagues, the building’s other inhabitants were able to be rescued and taken to safety.

“The fire initiated in a bedroom, and a joint fire and police investigation is underway to determine the cause.” Lincolnshire Police is also appealing for anyone who has any information relating to the fire to call on 101, quoting incident 23 of Tuesday, April 11.
It announced the man had sadly died in the fatal house fire at 12.22pm on Tuesday, April 11 on its social media.
