Mercedes abandoned in flooded road

The driver of a Mercedes had to abandon their car after a west Norfolk road became flooded.
The A1101 Welney Wash Road is currently covered in water after a nearby river burst its bank.
The road is prone to flooding and had to be closed last month as a result of high water levels[1].
Today (April 5) the owner of a black Mercedes had to abandon the car after it was caught in the flood water.
According to Welney Flood Watch, a group who monitor the water levels along the road, the car was causing problems for other drivers who had to go around it to get past.
The group said the road is currently covered in about 13 inches of water in some parts with drivers being urged to take extra care when in the area.
