Moment ‘wanted’ man found in Walsall garden after evading cops

This is the moment a “wanted” man was found hiding in a stranger’s garden after evading cops. West Midlands Police[1] officers initially tried to pull the man over for a “routine traffic stop” in Walsall[2].

However the man failed to stop for officers and a pursuit began. Officers then deployed a drone in a bid to catch the suspect.

It was flown over a set of gardens where officers began a search for the man. He was found hiding in a stranger’s garden and was arrested.

A force spokesperson said the man was wanted for “unrelated matters”. West Midlands Police published a 39-second clip on social media showing the search underway.

WMP Eye In The Sky, which is the force’s drone Twitter account, tweeted: “A male failed to stop for officers during a routine traffic stop in Walsall. The drone was called and quickly identified a person hiding in a garden which wasn’t easily accessible to officers.

“The male was detained as he was showing ‘wanted’ for unrelated matters.”
