Porbandar: A girl scooter driver was killed when a speeding truck driver hit a scooter near Adityana in Porbandar. While the aunt sitting behind was seriously injured and was shifted for treatment.

Asha Kishorebhai Khunti (aged 19), a resident of Adityana’s village, and her aunt Jayaniben took a scooter to the outdoor lecture program at Adityana’s Vachharadada temple. From there they used to return home at night. At that time, Asha was driving the scooter and Jayaniben was sitting behind.

When Asha was driving a scooter on Adityana-Porbandar road from the temple, a truck coming at full speed hit the scooter and both were thrown. Asha died of serious injuries. While Jayaniben was shifted to Sarwar in 108th. Based on the complaint of the deceased’s uncle Jivabhai Khunti regarding the incident, the police have registered a case against the truck driver and are investigating.
