One hurt in crash near Godshill

An Isle of Wight road has reopened, after a crash near Godshill this morning (Tuesday), in which three people were hurt.

The collision happened on Newport Road, near Bohemia Corner, at about 6.45am.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service told the County Press firefighters from Newport and Shanklin were called to help release a person trapped in a car on its roof.

The casualty was cared for by paramedics, who had already treated two other people at the scene, described by emergency crews as 'walking wounded.'
