Pedestrian dies after HGV crash on M6 in Stafford

A pedestrian has died after a crash with a HGV on the M6 in Stafford[1]. The pedestrian, a 43-year-old man, was hit by the lorry on the southbound carriageway of the M6 at Junction 13.

He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The crash happened just before 3.40pm on Saturday, April 8.

The man’s next of kin are being supported by specially-trained officers. The road was closed while officers completed their initial inquiries at the scene.

The driver of the HGV stayed in the area following the crash and is assisting officers with their investigation. Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
