Police slam ‘mindless damage’ after trees felled in park
Three trees have been cut and felled at Witham Way Country Park, in Boston[1]. Vandals have repeatedly targeted trees at the beauty spot and three further were discovered damaged on April 12.
Sergeant Kate Odlin, of Lincolnshire Police, said: “This is wholly unacceptable and mindless damage to a beautiful area that local people should be able to enjoy.
“Not only are the culprits causing irreversible damage, they are also causing a potential danger to themselves and others. We are working closely with Boston Borough Council, we have increased our patrols of the area and we would welcome any information about who is responsible.”

Several trees had also been cut down. Ilona, 27, was reported missing in November 2021. Her body was recovered from the park on February 19 last year 2022 after police receiving a report that suspected human remains had been located.
Her partner, Kamil Ranoszek, 42, is serving life imprisonment after a jury found him guilty of Ilona’s murder at their flat in Wormgate.
