Recap after road closure as emergency services called to crash

Emergency services were called to the scene of a crash on a busy roundabout. Ambulances and police attended the incident on Clifton Boulevard at Nottingham Knight roundabout just before 8.30am on Wednesday, April 12.

A road closure was in place on A52 Clifton Boulevard westbound and drivers were advised to look for alternative routes. The road was re-opened shortly before 10.30am.

Crews from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue also attended, saying that a person has been trapped in a car. East Midlands Ambulance Service said a person was taken to Queen’s Medical Hospital.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Police[2] said: “Emergency services were called to reports of a crash on the A52 Clifton Boulevard at around 8.25am this morning (12 April). The collision involved two cars and a lorry.

“There are currently no reports of anyone suffering life-altering or life-threatening injuries. Police have closed nearby roads while the scene is made safe and we would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding.”
