Record Q1 lease for GLP in Krak?w

In the largest deal of Q1 2023 in the Kraków market, MCG EastBridge has leased almost 37,000 sqm of warehouse and office space at GLP Kraków Logistics Centre III for a central operations base for the CEE and SEE regions.

MCG EastBridge is a recently launched subsidiary of the Maszoński Group, which has been providing transportation and logistics services in the EU for more than 25 years. The company conducts business operations from its headquarters in Sulęcin in western Poland and its subsidiary Maszoński Logistic from Irxleben in Germany. The establishment of the new company is part of a long-term expansion strategy into the CEE and Balkan markets.

MCG EastBridge will occupy a target area of app. 36,000 sqm of warehouse space, primarily for day-to-day logistics services, as well as 700 sqm of offices. The distribution centre will also become the headquarters of the newly established company. Axi Immo was the exclusive advisor in selecting and leasing the strategic location.

GLP Kraków III Logistics Centre is to be built in line with the BREEAM ‘Very Good’ or higher certification. It will feature a storage height of 12m, reinforced flooring, additional daylight penetration and a solar-ready rooftop. The project will also include landscaped areas and electric vehicle charging stations and a designated rest area for lorry drivers.

Law firm Greenberg Traurig provided advisory for the purchase of the site for GLP Krakow III, while tax analysis of the acquisition and tax assistance in drafting transactional documentation was provided by PwC Poland.
