Seven-year-old girl injured after crash with car in Great Notley as …
A driver crashed into a seven-year-old girl in Essex village – then made off from the scene, police have said. Essex Police has launched a witness appeal after the young girl was injured in the crash in Black Notley in March.
Police say the girl and a vehicle, believed to be a blue or silver Vauxhall Zafira, were involved in the crash in Witham Road at around 5.25pm on Sunday March 19. The girl was not seriously injured but the driver left the scene without stopping or sharing any details.
Essex Police is now trying to locate the car and its driver, and believe the vehicle may have suffered some damage to the bodywork as a result of the incident. The force is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any CCTV footage.
A police spokesperson said: “Fortunately the girl was not seriously injured but the car failed to stop at the scene. We believe it will have sustained damaged to one of its wing mirrors.
