Suffolk road closed after ‘serious’ crash near Centre Parcs

A Suffolk road is closed in both directions following a ‘serious’ crash on Saturday evening (April 15). Police, firefighters and paramedics are at the scene on the B1106 between the A11 Elveden Bypass and Green Road, between Brandon and Elveden and near Elveden Forest Centre Parcs.

The road is currently shut to traffic[1] in both directions as a result of the incident, which involves two vehicles. Suffolk Police has advised drivers that the closure may be in place ‘for some time’.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision near Brandon. Police were called at just before 5:40pm today, Saturday 15 April, to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the B1106.

“Police, Suffolk Fire and Rescue and ambulance crew are all in attendance to the scene. The B1106 is currently closed in both directions, between the A11 Elveden Bypass Road and Green Road, and is expected to remain closed for some time. Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.”

Inrix, the traffic data company, said: “B1106 in both directions closed due to serious accident, two vehicles involved from Green Road (Brandon) to A11 (Elveden Junction, Elveden).”
