Suffolk road still closed more than 12 hours after ‘serious’ crash

The B1106 near Brandon remains closed more than 12 hours after emergency services attended a “serious” crash. Police were called at just before 5.40pm on Saturday (April 15), to reports of a two-vehicle collision.

Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the scene. The B1106 was closed in both directions between the A11 Elveden Bypass Road and Green Road.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson said the road will be closed for “some time”. As of 8.30am on Sunday (April 16), the road remains closed.

Drivers are advised to find alternative routes. The extent of any injuries is not yet known.
