Third teenager dies after horror car crash in Warwickshire …

A third teenager has died after a horror car crash in Warwickshire[1]. Chipping Campden School students Harry Purcell and Matilda Seccombe died[2] in hospital on Friday April 21 after the car they were in was in a collision with another vehicle near Shipston-on-Stour[3].

The school said police contacted them earlier today to say a third student, Frank Wormald, died on Sunday from his injuries. A fourth teenager, Edward Spencer, remains in a stable condition.

All four Year 12 pupils were travelling in the same car and attended the school in Gloucestershire. In a letter to parents, principal John Sanderson said the school flag would fly at half-mast.

“There are no words that I can find to express the sense of loss that we feel,” he said. “Each one of these young people has been part of our extended school family and each loss is felt profoundly.

“In time, I would like to try and find the words to pay tribute to each of the young people we have lost, as each was remarkable and unique, having touched the lives of so many in such profound ways.”

Three occupants from the second car, a woman and two children, all sustained serious injuries and are in a stable condition in hospital, Warwickshire Police[5] confirmed.
