Train hits truck, closes Midlands road Wednesday morning

Authorities have closed a roadway in Chapin after a train collided with a truck Wednesday morning.

A section of Chapin Road between Primrose Lane and Sid Bickley Road was closed to traffic shortly before 10 a.m. after the train collided with the vehicle, Lexington County announced^[1] on Facebook.

Chapin police^[2] said minor injuries were reported from the collision, and no hazardous materials were involved.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene, a county spokesperson said.
