Truck driver dies after collision with train south-west of Melbourne
A truck driver has died after his vehicle collided with a train at South Geelong this morning.
The truck and the Melbourne-bound V/Line train crashed at a level crossing near Barwon Terrace in South Geelong about 6.40am.
The truck driver suffered life-threatening injuries and has treated by responding paramedics but died at the scene.

The train was not carrying any passengers and the driver was not injured.
The crash has caused major delays for commuters, with all trains suspended on the Geelong line.
Buses are replacing trains between Waurn Ponds and Geelong.
Police are investigating the crash and are calling for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
