Updates as man rushed to hospital after cyclist hit by lorry in East …

A man has been rushed to hospital 'as a priority' this afternoon after a lorry collided with a cyclist on a major East London road.

Emergency services sped to the scene near Mile End Tube station at 12.17pm today where London Ambulance Service treated a single casualty.

The man has since been taken to hospital where his condition remains unknown.

The A11 Mile End Road has been closed since the accident happened between the A1205 Grove Road and Harford Street.

According to travel tracker Inrix there is also congestion for northbound traffic on Burdett Road, which is down to one lane at the lights.

Buses 25, 205 and 339 have been placed on diversion as a result of the incident and subsequent road closure.
