ISHPEMING — A Mass City man lost control of his semi-truck on U.S. 41 on Saturday afternoon, the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The MSCO said in a news release that at 1:05 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on U.S. 41 near County Road 496 SE.

The driver, a 48-year-old Mass City man, lost control after driving through a snowdrift along U.S. 41.

The semi went into the ditch and the trailer blocked the westbound lane of U.S. 41.

The MCSO was assisted by the Ishpeming Township Fire Department, Crossroads Truck Repair and Marquette County Central Dispatch.

The MCSO also thanked West Ishpeming Auto Value for assistance in providing extra supplies for a fuel leak cleanup.

The incident remains under investigation.
