Van driver failed to stop after crash outside garden centre

Police officers are searching for a driver who failed to stop in a collision at a garden centre in Ferndown. The two-vehicle crash occurred at the Haskins Garden Centre roundabout on Ringwood Road at around 6.20am on April 5.

Dorset Police said the driver of a white or grey flatbed transit-style vehicle failed to stop after their vehicle collided with a blue Audi A6 estate. The force is attempting to locate the driver of the transit vehicle to hear their account of the crash.

Police Constable Erin Kinghorn, of East Dorset police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area and witnessed what happened to please come forward.”

PC Kinghorn added: “Also, I would urge anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage to please get in touch. Finally, I am keen to hear from the driver of the second vehicle involved so I can take your account of what happened.”
