The driver of an overturned car suffered potentially serious injuries following a crash in Walsall. The man, who was driving the vehicle, was discovered by medics from a passing ambulance in Walsall earlier this morning, April 21.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said although the man was believed to have suffered injuries which were potentially serious, he did not require further treatment at the scene. Instead, he was given “self care advice” and was discharged, a spokesperson for the ambulance service said.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “A passing ambulance crew came across a road traffic collision involving one car that had overturned at the junction of Pleck Road and Wolverhampton Road in Walsall[1] at 6.17am. Ambulance staff assessed the driver, a man.
“He had sustained potentially serious injuries. The man did not require further treatment and received self care advice from ambulance staff before being discharged at the scene.”
The spokesperson added: “Patients with capacity to do so can decline further treatment from ambulance staff.”
