As we all get back into the swing of things following the Easter break, we’ve found five of the best things for you to do this weekend.

From comedy to cleaning up, The Argus has compiled a list of things you can do this weekend.

Alan Carr

The chatty man himself will take to the stage[1] at the Brighton Dome on Saturday as part of his Regional Trinket tour.

A spokesman for the event said: “From the exhilarating high of his star-studded wedding day to the low of lockdown stuck on a farm, a lot has changed since Alan’s last tour four years ago, including Alan.

“Nowadays, it’s all about finding happiness and joy in the small things – why be a national[2] treasure when you can be a Regional trinket?!”

The Regional trinket was recently in the city as part of his TV show Interior Design Masters.

In the show, two pubs in the city were given a renovation by contestants.

Presented by JaackMaate, Stevie White and Robbie Knox, Happy Hour is one of the most popular British podcasts on Spotify and regularly tops the most listened to charts – and now you can see it live.

Earth Day at the Booth

The Booth Museum in Hove is celebrating the day with a series of events[3] for families to understand the environment they live in.

It is part of more than 500 museums taking part in the Wild Escape, which will see a range of exhibitions, classes and other events to celebrate the day.

Tthere will be activities aimed at 7–11-year-olds, who are curious about the environment and want to do something about the climate crisis.

This includes puppet shows, object handling and storytelling sessions.

CEO of Brighton[4] & Hove Museums Hedley Swain said: “This will be a fun day with a serious message.

“There will be lots of activities for families to do at the Booth but will also be a great opportunity to learn more about nature and discuss the future of the environment and nature with young people.”

The events will run all day at the Booth, from 10am to 4pm on Earth Day – Saturday, April 22.
