When Surrey will be hotter than Athens as temperature to finally rise

Surrey could finally see the start of a mini heatwave hit as early as Monday next week, as temperatures seem to be officially on the rise. After a chilly[1], long winter, evenings are finally starting to draw out. Some parts of Surrey could even be warmer than Athens in Greece, which is expected to see highs of just 17C, compared to Surrey’s 20C forecast and sun.

While there’s been plenty of April showers this month, sunny spells are becoming more and more frequent, and mercury is definitely on the up. Some parts of Surrey, such as Guildford[2] and Farnham[3], might even see highs of 20C next week, according to the Met Office and BBC[4] weather.

Guildford

From Monday, April 17, temperatures will start at 19C with sunny spells, and light winds in Guildford[6]. From Monday to Wednesday, April 19, mornings will be sunny, with some cloud cover at midday. From around 4pm onwards, there could be more sunny spells.

Temperatures could climb to 20C by next Thursday, April 20, according to BBC weather, with lots of sunshine, and some gentle breezes. By Saturday, April 22, temperatures could remain at 20C with more sunshine.

Dorking

On Monday, April 17, Dorking[7] could see highs of 18C, with sunny intervals. Similar is forecasted by the BBC until Thursday, April 20 when temperatures reach 20C.

Brighter skies and plenty of sunshine is expected on Thursday, through to Saturday, April 22 in Dorking. Sunday, April 23 will also be a lovely bright, sunny day as predicted by BBC weather.

Farnham

Starting the week with highs of 17C, Farnham[8] will likely see sunny spells and cloud cover on Monday, April 17. Similar is forecast for the following day, with a moderate breeze.

Temperatures start to pick up as the week draws on, by Wednesday, April 19 Farnham could see highs of 18C, with plenty of sunshine, with the same forecast for Thursday, April 20. By the weekend, Farnham could still see highs of 18C, still with plenty of sunshine.

Redhill

On Monday, April 17, Farnham could see highs of 17C, with cloud cover and slithers of sunlight coming through. Temperatures of 17C and sunny intervals is forecast by BBC weather for Farnham up to Wednesday, April 19.

On Thursday, April 19, temperatures could climb to 19C, forecasted to be sunny with a gentle breeze. A similar forecast is set out for Redhill[9] over the weekend, with highs of 19C on Saturday, April 22.

Staines

On Monday, April 17, temperatures could reach highs of 19C, with sunny intervals and cloud cover. Similar conditions are expected according to BBC weather till Thursday, April 20, when temperatures could reach 20C.

Thursday is expected to be sunny and warm, with a slight breeze in Staines[10]. Friday, April 21 will be a little bit cloudy, but the clouds are forecast to clear just in time for the weekend with lots of sunshine and highs of 20C.

Woking

Skies could be quite overcast in Woking[11] on Monday, April 17, with highs of 18C. BBC weather expects sunny intervals on Monday. This balmy yet slightly cloudy forecast continues throughout the week up till Thursday, when temperatures are thought to be on the rise.

On Thursday, April 20, temperatures reach 20C, and the sun is expected to be out all day. The following day could be slightly overcast again, but the sun is forecast to come back out on Saturday, April 22, with highs of 20C.
