18-year-old flees traffic stop and crashes: North Ridgeville police blotter

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio
Failure to comply: Lorain Road
On May 14, an officer attempted to stop a driver for a headlight violation. The driver fled and a brief pursuit ended in a crash. An 18-year-old Cleveland man was arrested and charged with failure to comply, willful disregard of safety, and operating without a valid license.
Criminal damaging: Chestnut Ridge Road
Police were dispatched for a criminal damaging report on May 14. The suspect left before the officers arrived but was located nearby. He was arrested and charged with operating under the influence, criminal damaging and open container.
OVI: Lorain Road
On May 15, a driver was stopped for speeding and arrested on charges of operating under the influence and careless operations.
Traffic complaint: Sugar Ridge Road
A driver was stopped for a loud exhaust violation on May 12. She had a suspended license and possessed drug paraphernalia and marijuana. They were booked into evidence and she was cited.
