A371 crash: Motorcyclist dies after collision near Axbridge
A motorcyclist has died following a crash near Axbridge this afternoon (May 25). Avon and Somerset Police[1] were called to reports of a single-vehicle collision on the A371 at around 1.40pm.
The road was closed in both directions[2] following the crash as investigation work was carried out. It reopened at around 7.35pm.
The motorcyclist’s next of kin have been informed. They are being supported by a specially-trained liaison officer.
Investigating officers are now appealing for information on the crash. They are keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened or who has relevant dash cam footage.
