Burton woman dies in Monday afternoon crash

BURTON, MI – A 33-year-old Burton woman died Monday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash.

Officers responded to the intersection of North Center Road and Risedorph Street around 3:20 p.m. Monday, May 8, following reports of a crash.

When officers arrived at the scene they found a white GMC Sierra and a red Chevrolet Cruise on North Center Road. The driver of the Cruise was unresponsive.

Witnesses told police the Sierra was headed north on North Center Road. The Cruise was headed west on Risedorph Street and ran a stop sign at North Center Road. The Cruise pulled out in front of the Sierra, police said.

The driver of the Cruise, Alysha Robinson, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Sierra, a 39-year-old Flint man, was uninjured.

Neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the crash, police said.
