In the case of Peter Brennan, his stay at the Hilton Downtown Nashville Hotel literally sucked after he was rudely woken up by the accommodation’s manager.

Article content

According to court documents[2], Brennan, a Texas native, was in Nashville for a work conference on March 30 and checked into the Hilton for an overnight stay. What would’ve been a blissful night’s sleep turned into a nightmare when he woke up to a man sucking his toes and attempting to seduce him without consent.

Brennan reportedly confronted the unwanted intruder, whom he recognized as the hotel manager David Neal. He then called the cops.

It was, ‘Who are you? Why are you in my room?’ It was almost like a dream, a sort of nightmare. It just didn’t make sense. ‘Why is this person touching me?'” Brennan told news outlet WKRN.

Upon arrival, Neal told officers he entered the room after smelling smoke and wanted to check on Brennan. Cops said Neal didn’t report any smoke to security nor were there any other reports of smoke on the premises. The key card used to enter Brennan’s room was never recovered after Neal admitted to cops he threw it away, WKRN reported[3].

Neal was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary and assault.

UNLICENSED DRIVER’S ‘LONG REIGN’ HITS THE SKIDS

All good things must come to an end sooner or later.

A senior citizen in Derbyshire, England, had reportedly been driving his vehicle without a licence, thinking he could get away with it. That all ended recently when he was pulled over by police.

The unnamed 69-year-old man had reportedly never stepped into a driver’s test centre and has been fibbing to his insurance company for decades about having a driver’s licence.

In a tweet, the Derbyshire Roads Police Unit said the years of deception (and bragging about it) finally caught up to the man once authorities caught wind of it.

“His long reign came to an abrupt end once we found out. Vehicle seized and driver reported for numerous offences,” police tweeted.

A worker for the Motor Insurers’ Bureau in England replied to the tweet[6], noting cops “brought a totally unacceptable reign to an end. The bit he was missing was had he been involved in a collision and we paid out on a claim, we would’ve come back to him for the total cost of that claim.”

CONGREGATION HOPES THIEF WILL REPENT, RETURN ORGAN PIPES

Members of a Memphis, Tenn., church are hoping a thief will be remorseful over their actions.

This comes after a moving truck containing nearly 2,000 organ pipes was recently stolen from Calvary Episcopal Church in downtown Memphis, The Associated Press reported. The truck was originally destined for Boston and the Spencer Organ Company, where the pipes will partake in a restoration process.

In a police report, Spencer Organ Company owner Joseph Rotella stated the pipes have limited value to whoever stole them.

A post[7] on the church’s website noted Memphis police and Penske, the company where the truck was rented, are involved in the search for the missing vehicle and pipes. Via the church, Rotella stated similar thefts had happened before.

“In those cases, the thieves realized that the contents of the van had little to no street value and abandoned the vehicles,” he said. “We hope for a similar resolution in the days to come.”

MAN ONLY WANTS ‘ALL THE BREAD’ WHILE ROBBING SUBWAY STORE

This man was very specific on what he wanted while allegedly robbing a Subway restaurant.

Career thief Abail Bekele had been released from jail for robbing a Cricket Wireless store in Chicago. Some two weeks after his release, Bekele went back to his criminal ways by entering a Subway and allegedly asking the cashier for money, threatening to shoot them if they didn’t comply, WRIF[8] reported.

Bekele allegedly got the cash and left. He then reportedly went to another Subway location and asked for “all the bread.” A confused sandwich artist asked the man what kind of bread he wanted and that’s when Bekele pointed to his waist, inferring he packed a gun.
