Police appeal for witnesses after motorcyclist dies in M6 horror crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a horror crash on the M6 yesterday. (May 18) The motorcyclist, 48, collided with a lorry on the M6 southbound around a mile before junction 10. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police[1] are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage. In a statement, they said: "We are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after a motorcyclist died following a collision on the M6 yesterday (18 May).
"We were called at 8.17am on Thursday to the M6 southbound around a mile before junction 10. We went to the scene with colleagues from West Midlands Police, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service.
"A motorcyclist, aged 48 from the Telford area, was found in cardiac arrest following a collision involving a lorry. Sadly, he was pronounced dead by paramedics a short time later.
"Formal identification will take place in due course. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers at this difficult time.
"Officers from our collision investigation unit would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the vehicles prior to the crash. Anyone with information should contact us via Livechat on our website or call 101, quoting incident number 126 of 18 May.
