San Jose woman killed in Watsonville motorcycle crash ID’d

WATSONVILLE — The Santa Cruz County Coroner’s Office has identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash[1] early this month on Carlton Road.

Jacqueline Bischof, 30, of San Jose, was riding down the agricultural area around 3:30 p.m., May 8, when her 2023 Honda CBR600RR racing bike went down for an unknown reason and slid into the path of an oncoming semi-truck. The California Highway Patrol had not determined a reason for the crash, which occurred near the intersection with Thompson Road.

Bischof, suffering from major injuries, died at the scene.

As of Monday, CHP investigators had not yet determined a cause for Bischof’s crash, according to agency spokesperson Officer Israel Murillo.
