Steuben Valley Road crash kills driver in one-car rollover

New York State Police are investigating a fatal one-vehicle rollover crash on Steuben Valley Road in Trenton on Sunday morning, troopers said in a statement.

Troopers said preliminary accident investigation has determined a 2020 Jeep Wrangler, operated by Russell A. Lazarek, 21, from Holland Patent, was traveling westbound on Steuben Valley Road approaching Post Road at around 5:40 a.m. when it exited the roadway, traveled down an embankment and overturned multiple times, ejecting Lazarek.

Lazarek was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

State police were assisted at the scene by Trenton Fire Department and STaR Ambulance.
