Tributes left on M40 road two years after Beaconsfield man’s death
Stuart Knowles, 40, from Holtspur in Beaconsfield, died in an incident that took place between junctions 2 and 3 on the M40 southbound carriageway on May 11, 2021.
Witnesses and paramedics provided CPR and emergency care but he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
An inquest later concluded that he had taken his own life.
Stuart was described by his loved ones after his death as a "legend" and "genuinely lovely guy".
On the two year anniversary of the incident, May 11, 2023, fresh bunches of flowers were left on Broad Lane bridge near Wooburn Green in remembrance.
At the time of his passing, tributes poured in from Stuart's friends and family, with Christopher Moore writing: "Stuart, I have known you all my life and will remember you forever."
Heather Woodman, who shared a child with Stuart, wrote: "Thank you for giving me a beautiful son. We will miss you very much. I will always have him to remind me of you."
Meanwhile, Patrick Slade described his friend as a "living legend" and Kate Mann said: "You were always such a happy, smiley person. A genuinely lovely guy. We will miss you."
