Two men rushed to hospital after serious collision between car and pedestrians
Two pedestrians have been rushed to hospital after a collision with a car in Bournemouth town centre. One of the men sustained serious injuries and his family has been informed.
The second man was treated for minor injuries. Police have now arrested a 24-year-old man from Poole on suspicion of driving offences.
Detectives are urging witnesses to come forward. A police spokesperson confirmed the serious crash – involving a a silver Peugeot 307 – happened at 1.39am on Sunday (May 28).
Police Sergeant[2] Mike Gatfield, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish what happened and would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please get in touch.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have been travelling in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
