Woman killed, child injured in Hillsdale County car crash

Michigan State Police are investigating a single vehicle car crash that left a 42-year-old woman dead and a young child injured in the early morning of Sunday, May 28.

At around 7 a.m. Sunday, the driver was travelling east on North Adams Rd. in Wheatland Twp. when she lost control and drove off the road before rolling over several times, according to a MSP press release.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The child was transported to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe speed was a factor in the crash.
