Three people taken to hospital

Three people have been taken to hospital after the earlier crash on the A56 Chester Road, police have confirmed.

Two men and a woman were taken to hospital to be assessed. Their injuries are not thought to be serious, police said.

The road remains closed while the vehicles are recovered.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Constabulary said: "At 1.30pm on Friday 9 June police were called to a two vehicle collision at the A56 Chester Road roundabout Preston Brook involving a car and a van.

"Two men and a woman were taken to hospital to be assessed. The injuries aren’t thought to be serious at this time.

"Both vehicles are being recovered."
