Biker taken to hospital with head and back injuries after crash involving Mercedes van

Police are appealing for witnesses to an accident in Warwickshire that left a motorcyclist needing hospital treatment. The biker, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital with suspected head and back injuries after being involved in a collision with a white Mercedes Sprinter van at the Technology Drive junction with Hansen Close in Rugby[1].

The driver of the van was uninjured in the accident, which happened at around 8.30pm on Friday, June 16. “Investigations are currently ongoing,” a Warwickshire[2] Police spokesperson said. “Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, who was in the area at the time either walking or driving, or who has dashcam footage of it to come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the force[3] quoting incident number 489 of 16 June. Police are continuing to appeal for information about an unrelated road rage clash[4] which happened in the town a few hours earlier.

Two men suffered head injuries after clashing on the A426 Leicester Road, near Tesco, at around 11.30am on the same day. Anyone with information about is asked to call 101 or visit warwickshire.police.uk/report[5] citing incident 193 of June 16.
