Car hits lamppost and overturns in A41 Watford Road near M25

Herts Police and the East of England Ambulance Service were called to the crash at 3pm today (June 6) just after the M25’s junction 20 exit.

Officers are currently at the scene and closures are in place to enable recovery of the blue Hyundai.

A Herts Police spokesperson said: “It was reported that a car had struck a lamppost, just past the roundabout at the junction with the M25 and had overturned.”

They added that the driver has been taken to hospital to be assessed.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area, with Google Maps showing delays along the A41 near the M25’s junction 20 exit.

National Highway’s cameras picked up cars beginning to queue on the exit that were beginning to stretch further back northbound on the M25.
