Driver taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after multi-vehicle crash in Cambs village
A man has suffered life-threatening injuries after a multi-vehicle crash in a Cambridgeshire[1] village. The incident was first reported in the early hours of the morning (June 29).
Officers were called to Heath Road in Warboys at around 5.10am. They received reports of a crash involving a car and a van near the village.
The car driver has been taken to hospital with his injuries deemed to be life-threatening. It is currently unknown what the van driver’s condition is at this time.
The incident has caused the A141 between Warboys and Chatteris to be closed in both directions. Motorists are being asked to avoid the area and plan their journeys accordingly.
Cambridgeshire Police[3] have asked anyone with information on the accident to get in touch with them immediately. This can be done online, quoting incident 76 of June 29.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Emergency services are at the scene of a serious collision in Warboys. Police were called to Heath Road at about 5.10am today with reports of a collision involving a car and a van.
“The driver of the car, a man, has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The A141 between Warboys and Chatteris remains closed at this time.”
