First picture of biker killed in Staffordshire crash
Police[1] have named a 27-year-old biker killed in a Staffordshire crash. And the force is continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward following the fatal collision in Tamworth.
Today officers have named the biker who died at the scene as Jarred Shaw, of Measham, Leicestershire. Jarred, aged 27, was riding a black motorbike on the A513 near to the Upper Gungate junction at 10.40pm on Monday (June 19) when he was involved in a collision with a white Ford Kuga.
As reported by StokeonTrentLive[2] police and paramedics[3] were called to the scene where sadly Jarred was pronounced dead a short time later. A spokesman for Staffordshire Police confirmed an investigation is ongoing.
He said: “Specially-trained officers are continuing to support his family who have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.
“Officers are continuing to ask for anyone who may have witnessed either vehicle being driven prior to the collision, saw the collision itself, or those with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch.”
Anyone with information should contact Staffordshire Police on 101 and quote incident 917 of June 19. Alternatively, use the Live Chat function on the force’s website here.[5]
