Head-on crash injures 2 adults, 1 child in Kent County

KENT COUNTY, MI - Three people, including one child, were injured in a head-on crash Friday, June 16.

Michigan State Police responded at 3:15 p.m. to the crash on 14 Mile Road west of 14 Mile Court in Courtland Township.

Police say a White Cloud man, 53, was traveling east on 14 Mile Road when he veered off the road onto the shoulder. The driver then overcorrected and crashed head-on into a westbound vehicle.

The White Cloud man was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

A 36-year-old Lowell woman driving the westbound vehicle and her daughter, 9, were brought to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police say alcohol is believed to be a factor, but the crash remains under investigation.
