Heavy traffic on the M20 between Ashford and Maidstone following lorry crash

A crash on a motorway has brought rush-hour traffic to a standstill.

One lane is closed on the M20 London-bound between Junction 9 at Ashford and Junction 8 at Leeds Castle.

There is a heavy build up of traffic on the M20 motorway

It is understood the accident involved a lorry and a van.

Pictures taken by drivers stuck in the jam show miles of cars bumper-to-bumper.

It is unknown anyone has been hurt.
