Huge M5 delays after caravan flips in crash

There are huge delays on the M5 this afternoon following a crash which involved an overturned caravan. Three lanes were closed on the motorway’s southbound carriageway following the collision, which took place near Droitwich in Worcestershire[1] earlier today, June 25.

A picture shared on Twitter shows the caravan on its side across two lanes. National Highways said: “Three (of four) lanes are closed on the M5 in Worcestershire southbound between J4A and J5 due to a collision involving an overturned vehicle.

“Traffic officers are in attendance. Delays are building, please allow extra time for your journey.”

Traffic monitoring service Inrix added: “Three lanes closed and heavy traffic due to overturned caravan on M5 Southbound from J4A M42 to J5 A38 (Droitwich/Wychbold). Lanes one, two and three (of four) are closed. Recovery is now on route.”
