Live A1(M) traffic updates as police hold traffic after serious crash at Tadcaster
All traffic is being held on the A1 motorway following a crash.
The crash happened at J44 on the A64, between York and Tadcaster in North Yorkshire[1], at around 12.26pm today. Photographs from Motorway Cameras show a car in a ditch in a grassed area at the side of the motorway, just before the slip road.
Police have arrived at the scene and have stopped all traffic. A recovery truck and police car are at the scene while enquiries are ongoing, and the vehicle is being recovered.
An update on data traffic site Inrix states: “All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident on A1(M) Northbound at J44 A64 (York / Tadcaster).
“All traffic stopped at around 1pm while the vehicle is recovered. Yorkshire Live have contacted North Yorkshire Police for further details.
